About Me

I started programming when I was 12. I was completely self-taught, learning dynamically from the internet.

You can view some of my early work on tutorial videos I had made on Youtube.  xcomputernerdx was my channel, apologies for the name, but I was twelve at the time.  I made tutorials on how to make a web browser, text editor and even a small bootable operating system using Cosmos.

Not long after I learned to program, I also started playing guitar.  I eventually got into writing my own music.  For recording and mixing music, I used Adobe Audition, Audacity and Pro-tools.  I had a band, called Every Other Aspect.   You can check out some of my recordings here (Soundcloud) or my YouTube videos here.

When I was a contestant in CBC's Searchlight competition, I needed an easy way to get my music out there, and to get people to vote for my songs.  In order to achieve this, I built a small, but flexible application to help promote my song.  It was called Tweetagram. Using Tweetagram, I was able to leave the computer while it automatically sent Twitter users, interested in music of a specific genre, a chance to check out my music.
